The majority of repairs that land on the workbench of Spiritwood Guitar are electric and acoustic guitars, basses, mandolins and banjos. However, repairs and restorations can also be done on ukeleles, lap dulcimers, violins...just about anything with strings!

"I am a former instrument builder and repairman. As such, I was a little nervous entrusting my century-old Washburn guitar to someone else. I shouldn't have been. The work Dave Howard did is some of the best I've ever seen. He replaced the fingerboard, added a graphite brace to the neck, made a new bridge saddle and nut, fixed some cracks in the top, and set the guitar up. Except for the lack of wear, I don't think it would be possible to tell that any of the new parts are not original. Dave was happy to show me what had been done at every step of the process. He also showed me work he had done on other instruments, all of which was to the same high standard. I recommend Dave highly to anyone who needs repair work done on any acoustic or electric stringed instrument." ~Roger Phillips, formerly of Boulder Junction in Uniontown, Ohio, 1930's Bruno Guitar, 1970's Bozo Dreadnaught
